Therapy Services & Approaches
Integrative therapy for individuals, couples, and families in Hutchinson, Kansas.
Premarital & Relationship Preparation
Premarital and relationship preparation therapy is focused on helping couples build a strong foundation for their future together. This work explores communication patterns, expectations, values, conflict styles, attachment dynamics, and shared goals, while also strengthening skills for navigating challenges with clarity and connection before they become more difficult to manage. For relationship preparation therapy, I use an evidence-based modality: Prepare-Enrich.
Couples Sessions
Couple sessions provide a space for partners to better understand one another, repair disconnection, and deepen emotional and relational intimacy. Therapy often focuses on improving communication, working through conflict in healthier ways, rebuilding trust, and identifying patterns that may be impacting the relationship so that both partners can feel more seen, heard, and supported.
Individual Therapy
Individual therapy offers a one-on-one space to explore personal experiences, emotions, and patterns within a supportive and grounded therapeutic relationship. This work may include healing from trauma, navigating anxiety or depression, deepening self-understanding, and reconnecting with one’s values, identity, and sense of wholeness while working toward meaningful personal change.
Family Therapy
Family therapy supports the entire family system in understanding and shifting patterns that contribute to tension, miscommunication, or disconnection. Sessions focus on strengthening relationships, improving communication, supporting healthy boundaries, and fostering a more cohesive and supportive family environment across generations and roles.

Why choose a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist?
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFTs) receive rigorous graduate-level clinical training specifically focused on psychotherapy, relational healing, and human connection. Their education emphasizes therapeutic theories, evidence-based models, attachment, family systems, communication patterns, and the ways relationships shape emotional wellbeing.
LMFTs are uniquely trained in systemic therapy, a holistic approach that understands people within the context of their relationships, environments, and life experiences. Rather than viewing struggles in isolation, systemic therapy explores the deeper relational patterns, attachment experiences, and emotional dynamics that influence mental health and personal growth.
This therapy-focused and holistic lens allows LMFTs to support healing through the interconnected relationship between mind, body, spirit, and relationships — helping individuals, couples, and families develop greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, healthier connections, and lasting change.
What I treat…
-
Anxiety, chronic stress, overthinking, perfectionism, people-pleasing, difficulty slowing down, and feeling constantly “on.”
-
Trauma, complex trauma, PTSD, difficult childhood experiences, relational wounds, and the ways past experiences can continue to shape your present.
I am trained in several evidence-based therapies for trauma, including Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and I am currently a Somatic Experiencing (SE) student.
-
Communication difficulties, recurring conflict, emotional disconnection, attachment wounds, trust, sexual issues, intimacy, life transitions, infidelity, and wanting to create a more secure and connected relationship.
-
Major life changes, grief and loss, identity exploration, changes in beliefs or values, becoming a parent, relationship changes, or simply feeling uncertain about who you are and where you're going.
-
Family conflict, changing family dynamics, parenting challenges, attachment patterns, and navigating relationships across generations.
-
Questions of meaning, purpose, values, spirituality, or identity—particularly when you're reexamining beliefs or trying to build a life that feels more authentic to who you are now.
-
Low self-esteem, shame, difficulty identifying or expressing emotions, self-criticism, boundary struggles, and patterns that keep you from feeling fully yourself.
-
Living with a medical or mental health diagnosis can affect far more than symptoms—it can shape your sense of self, relationships, daily life, and connection with your body. Therapy can provide space to process the emotional impact of diagnosis, navigate life changes, and develop greater understanding and self-compassion.
I work with individuals and families navigating a range of mental health and medical concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma-related conditions, ADHD, chronic illness, neurological conditions, mood disorders, and the emotional and relational challenges that can accompany significant health changes or diagnoses.
My approach recognizes that mental and physical health are deeply interconnected. Together, we can explore how your experiences, body, emotions, relationships, and environment interact while developing ways to move through challenges with greater awareness, resilience, and connection.
